An alloy is usually a metal such as aluminum, or even copper and has some metallic properties such as being shiny, but its properties are not entirely metallic. There are many items in your home that could be made from an alloy, such as a tea service or silverware. You should develop a routine to regularly clean these items so they keep an attractive appearance
•l Wash your alloy item in the sink with mild dish detergent, or a multipurpose cleaner. Scrub it with your scrub brush to help to loosen any dust or dirt. Don't scrub too hard with the scrub brush or the surface of the alloy can be damaged
•l Rinse the item, then dry it with a clean towel. Don't apply metal polish until it is dry or the polish won't stay on
•l Apply metal polish onto the polishing cloth and polish your alloy. Rub the polish in well. Wait five minutes, then add another lay
